Learn About Blackjack and Betting Systems

Blackjack systems are betting or card counting strategies that attempt to give an advantage to the player. The quality and usefulness of betting systems ranges from excellent all the way to downright dangerous. Some blackjack systems work like a charm and others will only deplete your bankroll even faster than normal.

With all these blackjack systems running around out there, it can be difficult for new blackjack players to tell which ones are good and which ones are worthless. Luckily, there are two questions you can ask to determine whether or not a blackjack system is worthwhile:

1. Does it cost money?

2. What does it promise?

The blackjack systems that have already been tried and tested in real life scenarios can be found for free on the internet. You don’ have to pay for real blackjack systems. The two most famous blackjack systems are based on counting cards:

The Hi Lo Counting System

The KO Counting System

Both systems have been in use for years by card counters and they can both be found for free online. They aren’t difficult to use and they don’t cost any money. That’s a great sign that there might actually be value in these blackjack systems.

Blackjack systems that promise you too much are worthless. These are the kind that usually cost money and they’ll use fake testimonials of people who claim to make six figures a year playing blackjack one day a week. Any system that has to blow its own horn that hard to get sales is worth less than something you can find for free on the internet.

Now that’s not to say that there aren’t great blackjack courses out there that cost money. Some people are willing to teach everything you need to know to become a proficient blackjack player, starting from the rules and working through optimum blackjack strategy. What I’m talking about those “effortless” systems that guarantee you all the money in the world.

Real blackjack systems will tell you up front that nothing is guaranteed. Even when you find a great card counting system, your advantage over the house is small and you’ll still go through wild ups and downs over time. There is no such thing as a blackjack system that always wins.

Blackjack Betting Systems

Some blackjack systems ignore card counting completely and instead rely solely upon the conscious sizing of your bets. Systems such as the Martingale System tell blackjack players to double their bets every time they lose and other systems tell players to double their bets every time they win.

These kinds of systems are all worthless. The only way to gain an advantage in blackjack is to count the cards and bet when you have a mathematical edge. The Martingale System is especially dangerous because it can turn a small loss into a colossal disaster within just a few minutes.

The problem with betting systems is that they are based on ideas that sound plausible but actually aren’t. The Martingale System, for example, sounds good because if you lose, you just keep doubling up until you and then you end up ahead. But after only a few doubles, you can soon be betting way more money than is safe.

Summary

There are some great blackjack systems out there but the ones that work require immense concentration and effort. Systems that promise you easy money with no risk are always rip offs. Card counting systems such as the KO Count and the Hi-Lo Count are more realistic and they actually work.
